Workouts

The “Weighted Mile” is a great staple for those of you that want to see if your fitness level is increasing. The best way to measure fitness is to test your work capacity, or power output. This is done by taking the total load/weight multiplying it by distance divided by time. Simply stated, how long does it take you to perform the task at hand. This is why we time our workouts. Because if you do this workout in 20:00 the first time, and 18:00 the second time, then your work capacity/power output has increased. It may be do to a number of reasons, increased strength, VO2 max, efficiency in the movements, or just mental toughness. Either way, as long as seeing an decrease in your time, you are increasing work capacity. Keep track of how long it takes you to do todays workout, write it down in your journal, and we will repeat this workout in 4 weeks. Go get em!
