Workouts

The Train to Hunt crew saw some folks getting dirty this weekend at the first annual Train to Hunt Challenge Course at Bogus Basin. There was a buzz in the air about how much different it is to shoot targets with an elevated heart rate. Having competitors run a 1/2 mile course that featured a couple short climbs, and one monster of a decent, shoot 5 targets ranging from 20 to 60 yards, all with a 25 pound pack opened the eyes of all competitors that spectators alike to the fact that you have to mix physical training and shooting or you may end up disappointed. The good news is that this was just foam targets, and there plenty of time to train for the real thing. Todays workout is going to test your ability to push yourself physically, then shoot accurately. If you don’t…well let’s just say there’s a penalty for missing. Good Luck!

A special thanks goes out to Steve Speck and the whole Pure Elevation Elevation crew for putting on such and great shoot, and allowing us to be part of it. And to Corey, Justin, and Mark of Outdoors International for helping out with the course. We couldn’t have done it without you guys. Thanks again!
